ASHES

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
Nothing but ashes,
From dust we came to dust we shall go back.
What is life that man dies for it,
What is death that man fears it.

After all your toils and struggles, what comes next,
After all your labours and hustles, what comes next.

I know one day I shall die,
Now I do not fear death but rather I fear the one who gives life.
I live my life in order that when I die I shall gain life.

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust,
What is money that it denies us life,
What is pleasure that it denies us life,
What is fame that it denies us life,

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
This life we live shall one day end,
I look forward not to the life that ends but to the life that never ends.

And to the giver of this eternal life I shall follow.
To Jesus I shall follow,

When fornication and adultery comes knocking I shall run,
When stealing and bribery comes I shall run,
When corruption and cheating comes I shall run,
